Scope and Contents The collection contains the letters of Pvt. Adam Porter of Co. A, 194th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment, stationed at Camp Carroll, Md. to his sister and brother-in-law in Williamsport, Pa. He describes camp life. Included is a pen and ink sketch of Porter and a carte-de-visite of him in uniform.

Scope and Contents 53 cabinet cards depicting African Americans from the 1880's- 1890's. Photograph studios are printed on the cards, but personal information concerning those photographed are not labeled. One cabinet card was taken by a C. E. Cheyne photography in Hampton, Virginia.
